After three double race weekends the 2016 Cross Crusade series enjoyed its first single race day weekend with a chilled out Sunday at the Heron Lakes venue of Portland International Raceway. What a gorgeous sunny day we all enjoyed and, while the racing was fierce, the vibe was definitely relaxed. There’s just something about knowing you won’t be shivering by race’s end that puts everyone at ease for the day. The River City Bicycles Singlespeed squad put the power down all day, conquering The Monolith barrier with style, and bringing home two podium spots along with a few dollar hand-ups. The Junior categories also saw some big fields and great racing.
We continue our presentation of local music with Portland artist Stèv and the song “Bamboo Delays”. “His music serves as testament to the unique balance between what is man-made and what is natural through it’s weaving and balance of acoustic and synthetic instruments.”
